He then went on to serve his residency in neurology at University Hospital in Cincinnati in 1988 and his fellowship in cerebrovascular diseases at Henry Ford Hospital in 1990. Dr. Ramadan has earned a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on health system at Keller Graduate School of Management DeVry University in 2008. 

An expert in his field, Dr. Ramadan is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), where he is also a Fellow. The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

A prestigious member of several professional organizations, he is affiliated with the American Academy of Neurology and the American Medical Association.
