Following a one-year internship at NYU School of Medicine (1962-1963), Dr. Taintor conducted his residency in psychiatry at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell Campus (1963 – 1966).
Upon completing his formal training in psychiatry, Dr. Taintor received board certification in psychiatry through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABNP). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation that was founded in 1934 as a method of identifying qualified specialists in psychiatry and neurology. The ABPN is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
