As an orthopedic surgeon in the United States Army, Dr. Slusher served as the primary surgeon for the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg North Carolina with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. While on duty, he took care of a wide variety of sports injuries which allowed soldiers to return to duty.
