Get to know Radiologist Dr. Gerard B. Tassin, who serves patients in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A determined radiologist, Dr. Tassin is affiliated with Radiology Associates, LLC, seeing patients at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Radiology Associates, LLC brings more than 70 years of quality radiology care to South Louisiana. The 28-member group serves the greater Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area and surrounding communities with full-service Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. They are committed to providing the highest-quality, state-of-the-art imaging and intervention for their patients, and to work closely with their referring physicians for optimal communication and care.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Tassin earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, before completing his internship at the Ochsner Medical Foundation, and his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He then went on to complete his fellowships in interventional & vascular radiology and clinical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Holding membership status, he is an active member of the American College of Radiology, the American Cancer Society, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.

Radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options.
