Arizona Oncology, one of the largest cancer center groups in Arizona, has many physicians devoted exclusively to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality cancer care. Pertaining to her academic career, Dr. Ondreyco earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1975. She then went on to complete her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. This was followed by a fellowship at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

In addition to being the Founder of the Phoenix Oncology Society and Co-founding member of the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Among her numerous academic honors & professional achievements, Dr. Ondreyco served as the Vice Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine at Maryvale Hospital, was named a top Breast Cancer Doctor in America by Redbook Magazine (2001), was listed in “The Best Doctors for Women” by Ladies Home Journal (2002 and 2008), was recognized as Phoenix Magazine’s Top Docs (2005 and 2009), was named to “Best Doctors in America” List (2005-2006, 2009-2010), was listed on the Guide to America’s Top Physicians (2004, 2005 and 2006), as well as won the Patients’ Choice Award (2010).
