As a board-certified and fellowship-trained oncologist, Dr. Ondreyco is affiliated with Arizona Oncology. She sees patients at Arizona Oncology’s Saguaro Cancer Center in Glendale, Arizona & Scottsdale – Gynecologic and Medical Oncology, Hematology in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Arizona Oncology, one of the largest cancer center groups in Arizona, has many physicians devoted exclusively to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality cancer care. They specialize in medical oncology, gynecologic oncology, breast surgical oncology, radiation oncology, hematology, research & clinical trials, genetic risk assessment, and patient ancillary programs, treating patients in locations throughout the state of Arizona.

Pertaining to her academic career, Dr. Ondreyco earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1975. She then went on to complete her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. This was followed by a fellowship at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

In addition to being the Founder of the Phoenix Oncology Society and Co-founding member of the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. A medical professional who practices oncology is an oncologist. An oncologist is a doctor who treats cancer and provides medical care for a person diagnosed with cancer. They lead a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionals, treat patients with radiation therapy, coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, as well as assist patients with pain management.

Among her numerous academic honors & professional achievements, Dr. Ondreyco served as the Vice Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine at Maryvale Hospital, was named a top Breast Cancer Doctor in America by Redbook Magazine (2001), was listed in “The Best Doctors for Women” by Ladies Home Journal (2002 and 2008), was recognized as Phoenix Magazine’s Top Docs (2005 and 2009), was named to “Best Doctors in America” List (2005-2006, 2009-2010), was listed on the Guide to America’s Top Physicians (2004, 2005 and 2006), as well as won the Patients’ Choice Award (2010).
