Dr. Winkelmann, also known as Doctor Jacq, has been practicing hospital-based pediatrics since 2001, and was most recently Chief of the Medical Staff at CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital. She has a special interest in Pediatric Nutrition and Sports Nutrition, and currently sits on the Sapphire at School Nutrition Board as an advisor for healthy school lunch programs. Dr. Winkelmann launched Doctor Jacq: Nutrition Coach for Young Athletes in 2014 and has spoken to thousands of parents, coaches and young athletes on sports nutrition and sports medicine. She is also a child advocate and works with Infant and Child Product Companies to ensure the product safety for infants and children. She is devoted to participating on medical missions and has traveled to Ecuador, Dominican Republic and her native Puerto Rico with Arpan Global Charities. Doctor Winkelmann is a national and International Speaker on Sports Nutrition and Wellness for the Young Athlete, Adolescent Prescription and Over the Counter Drug Abuse, and Infant and Baby Wellness and Safety.

Relapse tonsillitis
Hello! I am sorry to hear about your son. Does he have large tonsils? Has he been evaluated by an ENT (ear-nose-throat) specialist? Seems like he might need further intervention- drainage, tonsil removal. Consult with your pediatrician first, but he seems to have been treated with the appropriate antibiotics.
