Get to know Urologist Dr. William Wise, who serves patients in Nevada.

Well-versed in the field of urology, Dr. Wise practices at Las Vegas Urology, operating out of the offices in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada. He specializes in performing complex and minimally invasive urologic surgeries, and has expertise in treating conditions such as kidney stones, prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, yeast infections and more.

Providing care to Nevadans since 1988, Las Vegas Urology is one of Nevada’s largest urology groups in Southern Nevada. The providers continually evaluate their services and processes in an effort to improve every aspect of their care, from reception through caregiving. Their goal is to improve the patient experience by making the entire office visit and surgery scheduling seamless. Their single mission is to deliver comprehensive, compassionate urologic care with state-of-the-art equipment and procedures.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Wise earned his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska. He then went on to complete his internship, surgical residency, and residency in urology at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City.

Specializing in treating urologic conditions in both men and women of any age, the doctor is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. 

With over four decades of experience in urologic care, Dr. Wise is a member of the American Medical Association, the Clark County Medical Society, the Las Vegas Urologic Society, and the American Urological Association – Western Section.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is a past President of the Las Vegas Urologic Society and held the position of Chief of Urology at Sunrise Hospital. 

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
