Educated in Pakistan, Dr. Zaheer graduated with her medical degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University. After relocating to the United States, she went on to perform her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in infectious disease at Harlem Hospital Center in New York City, New York.

With years of experience, she is board-certified in infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
