Get to know Acupuncturist Barbara A. Phibbs, who practices in Toledo, Ohio.

Being a licensed acupuncturist, Barbara provides acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and complementary care to individuals at her private practice, Ohio Wellness Spa, in Toledo. Some of the services she offers include cupping, hypnosis, auricular therapy, NADA protocol for addictions, moxibustion, Gua sha, Tui na, and more. 

Prior to her current endeavours, she worked at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, Canada & at Langdon Allergy Clinic.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Barbara graduated from Leamington District High School. She then went on to earn her nursing degree from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing. Following this, she obtained her Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando.

Nationally board-certified in oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Barbara is also certified in laser surgery, facial rejuvenation, hypnosis, and auricular therapy.

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. The practice is also used to maintain general health. Acupuncturists treat a variety of physical and psychological issues like internal medicine hypertension or anxiety. 

On a more personal note, Barbara is married with three children.
