Get to know Vascular Surgeon Dr. Aqeel M. Siddiqui, who serves patients in Massachusetts.

Dr. Siddiqui is an experienced and respected vascular surgeon specializing in vascular surgery, endovascular surgery and wound care. His clinical interests include hyperbaric medicine, abdominal aortic aneurysms (open and endovascular), varicose veins, advanced wound care, sclerotherapy, venous closure, and dialysis catheter access. Currently, he is in practice with Signature Healthcare at the office in Brockton, Massachusetts.

A firm believer that communication is paramount, Dr. Siddiqui considers it a privilege to help people and establish long-term relationships with his patients. Likewise, he is convinced that everyone has the right to be confident in their own skin, which is why the LiVI Laser Center in South Dartmouth operates under his supervision. There, he administers various treatments such as Botox and Juvederm dermal fillers. 

Active in his field, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

A Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is also board-certified in undersea and hyperbaric medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). The ABPM was established to promote the health and safety of the American people through high standards in the certification and maintenance of certification in the profession of preventive health.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Siddiqui obtained his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1995. He then went on to serve his residency in vascular surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. This was followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital, and a research fellowship in surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system, including the arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation, are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. A vascular surgeon diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions in the arteries and veins, also called the blood vessels. These specialists treat a range of health problems, from spider and varicose veins to life-threatening aneurysms, and can help patients manage chronic conditions throughout their lives.

Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Siddiqui is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Award - 5 Year Honoree (2020), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), On-Time Doctor Award (2014), Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2020), and Patients’ Choice Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).

On a more personal note, he enjoys traveling to different parts of the country and sampling unique cultures and cuisine. Having grown up in the Boston area, he enjoys watching sports with the local teams, and playing golf.
