Get to know Orthodontist Dr. Senan Ziadeh, who serves patients in McAllen, Texas.

Dr. Ziadeh, also known as Dr. Z, is a skilled and board certified orthodontist with more than 20 years of professional experience. Happily settled in the McAllen, TX area, he is the proud owner of Senan Orthodontic Studios, where he sets patients on a path for a lifetime of healthy and attractive smiles. 

Senan Orthodontic Studios is a patient-focused orthodontist practice that provides exceptional service and orthodontic care along with custom-tailored treatment plans and individualized attention. Dr. Z goes above and beyond to provide a 5-Star VIP experience that includes comfortable, friendly, and relaxing office visits and ultimately yields exceptional results. He and his team focus on personalized attention, open communication, and building a strong and trustworthy doctor-patient partnership.

With extensive educational training in the fields of dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Z’s education, which spans three continents, led him to achieve several post-doctoral degrees. He earned his Master of Science in Dentistry (MScD) Degree in Europe. He then completed a five-year training program as an orthodontic post-doctoral resident at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, in which he completed a combined program that granted him a Doctorate of Science in Dentistry (DScD) Degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics (CAGS).

Throughout his orthodontic career, Dr. Z continued to sharpen his skills and add to his accomplishments until achieving the Diplomate status given by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).

Before opening Senan Orthodontic Studios, Dr. Z started his journey in dentistry and orthodontics in 2000. First, he worked as an associate general dentist in California, where he managed several practices. After four years of practicing general dentistry, he began seven years of schooling in orthodontics.

Upon completing his orthodontic training, Dr. Z founded a professional corporation that provided orthodontic services in multiple practices throughout Southern California. For the seven years he spent in California practicing orthodontics, he ran different orthodontics departments, where he treated patients of all ages, including children, teens, and adults. Dr. Z then relocated to Southern Texas with his family in late 2018, a place he finally calls home, and he has been serving the Rio Grande Valley ever since.

Among his professional dental affiliations, he is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Association, the Rio Grande Valley District Dental Society, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws. Orthodontists are responsible for identifying problems with the positioning of a patient’s teeth and with their oral development. They utilize the most advanced procedures and equipment available to ensure that every patient achieves a healthy and beautiful smile. 

When he is not in the office, Dr. Z dedicates his time to his family as they, together, enjoy traveling, swimming, skiing, playing basketball, reading, and listening to music.
