Becoming frustrated in my search for a competent dentist, I made a more concerted effort utilizing the internet to find a top rated dental practice in my area. Upon contacting one of the listed practices, I scheduled an appointment for an initial dental examination. Of the, I believe, four dentists practicing within their office, Elizabeth, (Beth), Herko, DDS was selected for me to conduct my assessment. Since that initial visit in January of 2014, Dr Herko has been my dentist of choice. In short order one realizes that, through years of diligent studying and applying the lessons learned, she has managed to hone her skills to a fine degree. Following assessments to determine the best course of action for each planned procedure, her work begins and progresses with confident fluidity while she remains alert to any distress her patient might be experiencing, so as to appropriately alter her methods. But beyond her technical prowess, she possesses a natural ability to calm any trepidations while dispensing the knowledge she has acquired with a proficient, yet lighthearted and assuring demeanor. Her personable willingness to just “shoot the breeze” tempers what would otherwise be a dry clinical event to help transform it into more of a fulfilling social engagement. Without a doubt, her’s is a comforting presence; the very essence of empathy. Her passion for her chosen profession to help others was readily apparent to me when, more than once, she went out of her way to successfully advocate on my behalf. Her selfless actions have garnered my unwavering trust. One can’t ask for more. As dentists go, I happened upon someone special.
