An attentive and caring dentist, Dr. Meer is the Owner & Operator of Elden Family Dental in Herndon, Virginia, which he opened in 2009.

Committed to serving patients in the region with the utmost integrity and compassion, he gives personalized conscientious care and conservative treatment. All treatment is done by Dr. Meer, and he uses high tech equipment which enhances treatment and comfort.

Patients have come to appreciate the personal touch applied to their entire experience, from answering the phone call to leaving with a great experience and continuing care in the years that follow.

In regard to his educational background, Dr. Meer earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 2002. This program provided an in-depth patient treatment experience which set the stage for his dental career.

Before opening Elden Family Dental, he practiced under a wide variety of circumstances. He began his dental career in 2002 with three years in active duty for the United States Army. Following separation from active duty in 2005, he worked in group dental practices and a public health clinic in Maryland.

In 2008, Dr. Meer began working as an associate in Virginia and eventually established his own practice. He was able to take lessons from all of his past assignments when designing Elden Family Dental to allow for a comfortable experience with a high standard of care.

In 2021, Dr. Meer received the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Fellowship Award. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental Continuing Education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6% of general dentists in the United States and Canada have achieved this feat, which requires over 500 credit hours of CE and passing an exam equal in difficulty to board certification.

Among his other affiliations, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, treat gum disease, repair decayed teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
