Dr. Boyd, an eminent plastic surgeon, specializes in all aspects of surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation including facelifts, brow and eye lifts, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), and neck lifts. Since opening his practice, BOYD Beauty, he has earned an excellent reputation, both nationally and internationally, for a holistic approach, quality results, and outstanding patient care.

A surgeon of extraordinary talents, Dr. Boyd has trained hundreds of top physicians throughout the United States and abroad on advanced injection techniques utilizing Botox, Juvéderm, and other minimally invasive modalities. He is also a specialist in cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery, and one of a select group of physicians involved in several research studies including FDA trials to test and evaluate cosmetic products created for consumer use.
Licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, he is affiliated with St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals, and Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Boyd graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University in 1987 and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1992. Furthering his education, he performed his residency in otolaryngology and his fellowship in facial plastics with the University of Michigan Health System in 1998 and 1999, respectively. Many years later, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2003.
He has experience as a full-time faculty member at the University of Michigan for over 14 years, serving as an assistant professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Otolaryngology. He has also served as the associate chief of staff of the University of Michigan Health System.
Honing his skills, Dr. Boyd is board-certified through the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, whose mission is to promote excellence in the art and science of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Facial Aesthetics through education, advocacy, and innovation.
Furthermore, he is board-certified through the Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by assuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
As one of the most prominent practitioners in the industry, Dr. Boyd is continually evolving the practice and the portfolio of aesthetic treatments and procedures offered. An avid humanitarian, Dr. Boyd serves on the board of Bethany Kids, a non-profit organization that provides healthcare to children in East Africa. He devotes at least two weeks of every year to volunteer with World Medical Missions to perform cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries on children in Kenya. During the two weeks he spends there each year, he and his team perform more than 100 procedures.
Highly respected and widely admired, he is routinely invited to present cosmetic surgery lectures throughout the United States and internationally. He has published his research in several medical and surgical journals, has authored book chapters on cosmetic surgery, and has been featured in numerous media outlets and newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, and the Washington Post. He also frequently appears on television and radio, educating the public about cosmetic surgery.
