Dr. Gupta, a trusted psychiatrist, is the Medical Director of Great Neck Center for Sleep, TMS, and Mind-Body Wellness. His clinical practice is focused on the interface between psychiatry and neurology, as well as the promotion of mind-body wellness.

After graduating with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in India in 1978, Dr. Gupta went on to earn his Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology from University College of Medical Sciences in 1981. He then relocated to the United States, performing his internship at Saint Vincent Hospital in Massachusetts, and his residency in psychiatry at New York University Medical Center.
Wanting to further his education, he pursued a fellowship in C-L psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1996, a fellowship in brain imaging at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1997, and a fellowship in neuropsychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 1998.
Recognized among “Top Doctors” for many years by Castle and Connolly, Dr. Gupta is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
Furthermore, he holds board certifications in sleep medicine, psychosomatic medicine, and behavioral neurology & neuropsychiatry.
