Dr. Pema earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2001. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and biological anthropology from the University of Michigan. 

Dr. Pema is a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association. The International Dental Implant Association is an alumni network for dentists who have taken Implant Seminars dental continuing education courses. Dr. Pema’s favorite sports team is University of Michigan football. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing in Big Bear with his wife, Nisha, and their three children – Leya, Raaya, and Anaya.
