Dr. Vahedifar is a physical medicine, rehabilitation & pain management specialist who is currently serving patients at the Nuvo Spine and Sports Institute - of which he is Owner. Formerly known as Encino Spine, the Nuvo Spine and Sports Institute offers cutting edge, state-of-the-art treatments, including: stem cell therapy, biological therapy, PRP therapy, intradiscal therapy, HydroDiscectomy, and more. Dr. Vahedifar and his team’s top priority is to improve the health and well-being of their patients by providing innovative, comprehensive care to those suffering from acute and chronic pain of the neck, back, and spine.
Dr. Vahedifar graduated with honors from UCLA. Wanting to further his education, he went on to receive his medical degree in 1996 from Tulane University College of Medicine, where he did extensive research on nerve-associated pain. He then completed training at the UCLA-VA Multi-campus PM&R Residency Program and its affiliated hospitals, including Shriners Hospital for Children, the Veterans Administration Wadsworth Medical Center, Orthopaedic Hospital, and Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Vahedifar continued his training under the head of orthopedic spine surgery at Orthopaedic Hospital and completed his postgraduate training in interventional spine procedures.
Dr. Vahedifar is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R). AAPM&R is the national medical specialty society for physicians who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). Founded in 1938, the mission of AAPM&R is to foster excellence in psychiatric practice.
Dr. Vahedifar is a member of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the California Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.
