He then went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the State University of New York in 1998, followed by his residencies in nuclear medicine at the Drexel University College of Medicine and the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine 2002 and 2003, respectively.
A year later, in 2004, he attained board certification in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, which is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
