David R. Baker, DO, FAAP, FACOP, BCIM, is a leading pediatrician and board-certified integrative medicine physician currently serving patients at Central Maine Medical Center- Pediatrics in Lewiston, Maine. Throughout his twenty years of practice, he has accrued extensive expertise in integrative pediatrics, sports medicine, and pediatric and adolescent healthcare. Dr. Baker offers pediatric hypnosis, primarily for children 10 and older. His special areas of focus include, but are not limited to sleep disturbance, anxiety, depression, headaches and migraines, functional abdominal pain, scholastic difficulties, sports performance enhancement, and Touretteâ??s Syndrome. After earning his Doctorate of Osteopathy in 1987 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science, Dr. Baker completed his internship at Tod Children's Hospital and residency at Case Western Reserve University. He is Board Certified in Hypnotherapy, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, and Board Certified in Integrative Medicine. Additionally, in order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, he maintains a professional membership with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Association of Integrative Medicine. He was Resident Teacher of the Year at Central Maine Medical Center in 2001.
