Graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree at Temple University and her medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gokalp began her postgraduate training in general surgery at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. She then completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, and went on to complete a one-year aesthetic fellowship with the Department of Plastic Surgery at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.

After practicing for three years in St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital in Manhattan, she became a teaching/attending staff member in the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, where she currently maintains an affiliation. She is also a professional/teaching attending at St. Barnabas Hospital.
