An experienced anesthesiologist, Dr. Smith Jr. joined Centers for Pain Management in 2014, seeing patients at their offices in Cordele and Tifton, Georgia.
A native of Tifton, he is a graduate of Tift County High School and Valdosta State University. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the same educational venue in 1999, serving his last year as Chief Resident.
In order to remain up to date in his field, Dr. Smith Jr. is an active member of the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
Prior to his current roles, he served as a Phoebe Putney Memorial Staff Anesthesiologist at Albany Anesthesia Associates (1999-2004), and was affiliated with Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center where he served twice as chief of the medical staff and chief of anesthesia services while maintaining a growing pain practice.
