Get to know Internist Dr. Mamdooh Gayid, who serves patients in California.

Dr. Gayid is a well-versed internist who has been with Beaver Medical Group since 2006. He operates out of the office in Redlands, California, and is affiliated with Redlands Community Hospital. 

His special interests include heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, geriatrics, gynecology, allergies, arthritis, asthma, back issues, chronic fatigue, dermatology, headaches/migraines, cholesterol, immunizations, joint injections, men’s health, women’s health, preventative medicine, respiratory illness, skin biopsies, skin minor surgery, sleep issues,  stomach issues, and weight management. 

Graduating with his medical degree from Faculty of Medicine at Assiut University in Egypt in 1982, Dr. Gayid went on to further his training. He performed a residency at Zagazig University in Egypt, and an additional residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan in 2004.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Successful in his field, Dr. Gayid was awarded “The Chief Medical Resident’s Professionalism Award” for 2002-2003 by Wayne State University. He was also named a Patient’s Choice Award Winner for 2012 and 2014. 

In his spare time, he enjoys walking and traveling, and serves on the Social Services committee at his church. He is fluent in both English and Arabic.
