Dr. Kelley graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 1979. He was then accepted and attended one of the top ranked dental schools in the nation – the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1983.
Dr. Kelley is an active member of many dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Oakland County Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Dentistry International, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the International Association for Orthodontics, the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association, and the World Congress of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Kelley is a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International (FADI). The ADI is an international honor society for dentists promoting social responsibility of the dental profession. Fellowship in the ADI is bestowed on dentists whose professional, civic, and related accomplishments are truly outstanding. Candidates for fellowship must have earned their dental degree at least five years prior to nomination.
Dr. Kelley is also a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association. The International Dental Implant Association is an alumni network for dentists who have taken dental implant seminars (continuing education courses). Founded in 2008 by Dr. Arun K. Garg, an international lecturer, author, and oral surgeon, the International Dental Implant Association has grown to become one of the largest organizations of its size with nearly 3,000 members.
