Dr. Kirsten Ellingsen is a licensed psychologist practicing in Sarasota and Tampa, Florida. Dr Ellingsen provides individual therapy for parents, children and teens, as well as pregnant and postpartum mothers with a focus on evidence based and research supported treatments for anxiety, ADHD, ASD, depression, and chronic health conditions.  She specializes in providing parenting support and working with children and teens who are 2e / twice exceptional (e.g., gifted and talented also struggling with anxiety/managing ADHD symptoms/ASD). She has been dedicated to supporting children and families for more than 25 years through clinical practice, research, community collaboration and consultation. She has advanced training and expertise in early childhood pediatric psychology, early intervention, child and adolescent therapy, and maternal mental health and perinatal wellness. Clinical experience has involved providing psychological service within hospitals, schools, homes, outpatient clinics, and early intervention centers, often with multidisciplinary teams. Dr Ellingsen is the volunteer clinical practice workgroup chair for the Florida Maternal Mental Healh Collaborative. She currently owns her own practive and works as an adjuct clinical faculty at the University of South Florida (USF) supervising clinical psychology graduate students.
