Striving to improve and maintain patients’ oral health, Dr. Denman provides comprehensive complete health dental care at Great Expressions Dental Center, Southpoint in Jacksonville, Florida. He always takes the time with each patient to make sure they understand their dental needs and what to expect before, during, and after any procedure, especially how to prevent future occurrences.
Dr. Denman was born and raised in Tampa, Florida with his twin brother, Chad. He graduated in 2001 from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a specialization in Nutritional Sciences. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Boston University in 2006.
From 2006 until 2008, he practiced with Dental Health Group in Tampa as a family and cosmetic dentist. There, he completed many full mouth rehabilitation as well as cosmetic makeovers, including thousands of crowns, bridgework, and veneers.
In 2008, he moved to Austin, Texas to help his brother open a practice with the Smile Center Dental. He and his brother then opened their own offices, Family Tree Dental Group, in Austin, Texas (2012-2016). While working in Texas, Dr. Denman completed many pediatric cases, extractions with bone grafting for future implants, conscious sedation, full mouth rehab, and implant dentistry cases. He also hosted and donated free dentistry days, treating over 100 patients in one day. He sold his three Family Tree Dental Group practices in 2016 that were mainly fee-for-service and PPO practices.
From 2016 to present, Dr. Denman has worked with Great Expressions Dental Centers, Southpoint, where his practice focuses on the complete health of his dental patients in the Jacksonville region and still focuses on cosmetic and family dentistry. He has also completed over 100 hours of continuing education involving: Charles Blair, Gordon Christensen, Gary Kadi, Zimmerman, Biomet 3I, Dentsply, Ivoclar, Botox, and fillers, endodontics, implants, and Invisalign.
In order to stay up to date in the field of dentistry, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Capital Area Dental Society, and the Florida Dental Association.
Recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Denman has conducted advanced training since 2006 by attending summits and courses and completing over 200 Invisalign cases since starting in his practice in 2012. He has trained in Complete Health Dentistry since 2013. He has also trained under Garg Implant Seminars and many others for over 200 hours and has placed over 300 successful implants since 2014. He is certified in Bale-Doneen Method/Preceptorship to help prevent heart attacks and strokes with improving oral health, certified in current conscious sedation with over 3000 completed successful sedation, as well as has trained under Bill Strupp for total excellence in full mouth rehabilitation in 2020.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
On a more personal note, Dr. Denman enjoys working out and playing tennis in local leagues and at US Tennis Association tournaments. He donates to the University of Florida and Boston University annually, serves as a volunteer for Mission of Mercy, as well as is an Eagle Scout. In the past, he has made donations for Boy Scouts of America and the Shiners.
