Dr. Gordon is board certified in Medical Oncology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He is recognized across Michigan and beyond as an expert in adult and geriatric oncology, and expert procedures undertaken by him include thoracentesis, plasmapheresis and bone marrow biopsy. Dr. Gordon is committed to keeping on top of all the latest advances in technology within his field, and he does this through his active membership of the American Osteopathic Association. A hematologist-oncologist who is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia and lymphoma. They will be trained in hematology, the study of blood and oncology, the study of cancer, but will specialize in treating blood cancers, such as Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphomas, leukemias and multiple myelomas.
