In her practice, Dr. Salam begins her care with a comprehensive intake session, listening to her patients’ concerns and expectations, and investigating their full medical history. She offers a variety of procedures, from cervical injections to peripheral nerve stimulation, all aimed at helping her patients regain mobility.

A 1997 graduate of King Edward Medical University in Pakistan, Dr. Salam relocated to the United States to further her training. She completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now known as Rutgers New Jersey Medical School) in Newark, New Jersey, and the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. She received further training with fellowships in interventional spinal care at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and in stem cell therapies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.

Additionally, she completed postdoctoral research fellowships, culminating in pulmonary critical care at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, and the role of infectious agents in autism at the University of California, Los Angeles.

In order to stay abreast of developments in her field, Dr. Salam holds membership status with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the International Spine Intervention Society. 

Bringing a wealth of knowledge to her industry, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
