On the frontier of medical science, his extensive scientific and medical training allows him to employ a range of state-of-the-art techniques to diagnose and treat the source of one’s pain. Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Ghosh earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he remained for three more years of internal medicine residency and a further two years in a rheumatology fellowship. Prior to his medical training, he also earned a Doctorate (PhD) degree in Biochemistry, publishing leading-edge research in international journals.

Recognized as a specialist in his field, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. 

Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis. There are more than 200 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, and tendinitis.
