  • What are the risks of abdominoplasty?

The general risks are bleeding, infection, seroma (fluid collection), hematoma (blood collection), asymmetry, deformity, numbness, umbilical (belly button) blood supply issues, skin blood flow issues, incision dehiscence (when incision opens, anesthesia complications. • Which is better liposuction or CoolSculpting?

It’s not that one treatment is better than the other. They both are effective treatments at removing fat from the body. Coolsculpting is the number one non-invasive way of getting rid of fat. There are no needles, knives or anesthesia. There is no down time and patients can go back to work the same day. Approximately 20-25% of the fat cells in a treatment area die with each treatment of coolsculpting. Liposuction on the other hand should remove more fat with one procedure than one coolsculpting treatment. However, most liposuction is done under anesthesia and has down time where patients can not work or exercise. The other thing you must consider is the quality of your skin and will it contract if either of these treatments are performed. If not an abdominoplasty might be your better option. Please do your self the favor of consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon so they can determine what treatment is best for you. READ MORE

  • Can you make your jawline more defined?

Yes you can define your jaw more by using injectable fillers or with implants. Depending on the patient liposuction may help define the jaw line. READ MORE

  • How do you lose back and arm fat?

There are several ways to lose back and arm fat. The first is to lose weight with diet and exercise. The second is with coolsculpting, the noninvasive fat reduction procedure. The third is with liposuction. The fourth is with direct excision of the area via a back lift or brachioplasty. READ MORE

  • How long is a tummy tuck surgery?

It usually takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to perform a tummy tuck. READ MORE

  • How much weight can you lose with liposuction?

This depends on how much fat is liposuctioned. The amount of fat that is liposuctioned is usually calculated by units of milliliter (ml) or cubic centimeter (cc). This can then be converted into the measurement of pounds (lbs). I would suggest that you think of liposuction as a body contouring surgical procedure and not a weight loss surgical procedure.
