Get to know Urologist Dr. Abraham Knoll, who serves patients in Wayne, New Jersey.

Dr. Knoll is a well-versed urologist in practice with  Garden State Urology in Wayne, New Jersey. His special areas of interest include robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and endourology.

“I believe that each patient is unique and needs to be treated as such. There is no cookie cutter answer that fits every patient. I also realize that patients are nervous when it comes to their health, so I strive to allay their fears and give them the best care. I treat each patient as if they were my own family” as stated by the doctor.

Back in 1999, Dr. Knoll obtained his medical degree from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in New York. He then went on to perform his internship, residency, and fellowship in endourology at Montefiore Medical Center.

Following his training, he earned board certification in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. 

Professionally, Dr. Knoll is affiliated with several facilities in his local area, including Chilton Medical Center,  The Stone Center of New Jersey, and Atlantic Medical Group. 

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands. 

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Knoll has been honored with Excellence in Undergraduate Studies by the Golden Key National Honor Society, The Brooklyn College, The City University of New York (1993); Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement by Phi Beta Kappa, The Brooklyn College, The City University of New York (1995); the Urology Department Certificate of Achievement by SUNY Downstate College of Medicine for Outstanding Clinical Performance in Urology (1999); Chilton Hospital Physicians We Admire (December 2011); Wayne Monthly Top Doc (2010-2017); and NJ Monthly Top Doc (2016-2019).
