Throughout his academic career, Dr. Spiro graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He then went on to perform his internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and his residency in neurological surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, part of Northwell Health.

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, he is affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital and The Hospital of Central Connecticut- New Britain General Campus.
