In 1971, Dr. D’Esposito earned his medical degree from the University of Padova in Padova, Italy. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residencies in surgery and urology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York now known as NYU Winthrop.
Dr. D’Esposito is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and former Governor and Past President of the Brooklyn and Long Island Chapter. Dr. D’Esposito is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and by working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to insure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. Among other positions he has held, Dr. D’Esposito is past President of the Nassau County Medical Society and Nassau Academy of Medicine.
