A San Diego native since 1989, Dr. Lau’s dedication to her work and conscientiousness shone through when she became Valedictorian of West Hills High School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BA/BS) degrees at the University of San Diego and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the highly esteemed University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. She furthered her education with an Advanced General Dentistry Residency at the University of Pacific in San Francisco, where she became very well-versed in cosmetic veneers, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, gum therapy, oral surgery, and implant dentistry.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
A mother of three young children, Dr. Lau loves taking care of adults and children alike. She fully understands the value of time and the importance of total family dental care in today’s busy schedule. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and having great fun with her family.
