Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Fernanda Pacheco, who serves patients in New York.

A determined woman and accomplished medical professional, Dr. Pacheco is passionate about scientific knowledge and technological innovations in the world of medicine. She provides her patients with the most current protocols in infertility and human reproduction.

Currently, she is the Director of Medical Affairs at Progenesis, where she engages in conferences focused on human reproduction, attends training, and conducts webinars under the banner of the esteemed company. Her role includes providing scientific and clinical support for commercial products and acting as a crucial link between the medical community and business initiatives. 

Additionally, she is responsible for optimizing the FIV protocols and ensuring that Progenesis adheres to the highest ethical and legal standards.

As the Founder and CEO of Classiclínica, a multidisciplinary medical clinic for 10 years in Porto Alegre in Brazil, Dr. Pacheco provides online consultation on gynecology, PCOS, endometriosis, fertility preservation, reproductive genetics, reproduction, and infertility. She has gained invaluable experience and discovered her passion for entrepreneurship in medicine.

Born in Porto Alegre, during her adolescence, Dr. Pacheco witnessed a couple struggling to conceive, which deeply fascinated her with Assisted Reproductive Technology and the opportunity to help infertile couples have healthy babies. It was then that she decided on her career path. She graduated with her medical degree from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the prestigious Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), and chose to specialize in the field of Infertility and Human Reproduction.

With extensive experience in private practice and leading medical affairs initiatives, Dr. Pacheco holds a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Management. 

Specializing in fertility preservation and ovarian transplantation, she completed her fellowship training at New York Medical College with Dr. Kutluk Oktay. These experiences validate and reinforce her commitment to making a positive impact on as many people as possible through her expertise, continuous learning, and innovative approach.

An active member of prestigious reproductive medicine societies, Dr. Pacheco is affiliated with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, among others.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause.
