Providence Hospital is a 349-bed high-rise hospital in the U.S. city of Mobile, Alabama. The hospital tower was completed in 1987. The building sits at the center of a 277-acre campus, it rises approximately 170 feet and 11 stories.

Infirmary Health’s flagship is Mobile Infirmary, with 681 licensed beds, including J.L.Bedsole/Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital. It is among the leading hospitals in the state for surgical volume, houses the most comprehensive cardiovascular program with a hybrid OR/cath lab, the region’s only long term acute care hospital and Alzheimer’s center. Mobile Infirmary also boasts a renowned cancer program, Infirmary Cancer Care, with surgical, radiation, and medical oncology.

Graduating with the class of 1968 at the Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Park III went on to perform his residency in general surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 1970. He then completed an additional residency in orthopaedic surgery at Campbell Clinic & Surgical Center in 1973.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association (FAOA), he is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
