Dr. McDermott is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who is affiliated with Santa Rosa Surgery and Endoscopy Center in Santa Rosa, California. Santa Rosa Surgery and Endoscopy Center is a state-of-the-art, accredited center designed to provide patients with safe, high quality health care in a comfortable and efficiently managed setting.

Dr. McDermott earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, followed by his fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center. 

Dr. McDermott is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. It is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
