A trusted traveling internist, Dr. Stone specializes in acute care medicine in rural urgent care and emergency room settings, providing medical care in various parts of the country including Barrow, Alaska, the Virgin Islands and Indian reservations.
Dr. Stone’s acute care experience includes Remote EMT certification to disaster relief during the Covid-19 pandemic focusing on critically ill patients in South Texas and other hospitals including patients in the Severe Infectious Disease Units.
Dr. Stone has gleaned a myriad of experience in taking care of adult and geriatric conditions fortifying her clinical acumen to meticulously formulate critical thinking to stay three or four steps ahead in a variety of rural inpatient, outpatient, urgent and emergent settings.
Stabilizing highly emergent and critically ill patients expediently and safely to higher level of care in extreme rural settings garnered a higher level of knowledge and skill set enhancing and easing patient experience in navigating through complex medical conditions serving as true patient advocate and physician.
To this day, Dr. Stone’s non-conventional approach to remaining flexible and non-stagnant in her medical knowledge has included and expanded into integrated medicine incorporating homeopathy, behavioral health with a special focus on prolonging health and wellness, rather than prevention of early death.
Focusing on her educational background, Dr. Stone earned her medical degree from the SUNY College of Medicine – Downstate in 2005.
Shortly thereafter, she attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Practicing medicine in New York, Dr. Stone has medical privileges at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca. She is also an active member of the American Medical Association.
