Get to know Pediatric Hospitalist Dr. Kristen K. Soehngen, who serves patients in Mexico, Missouri.

Dr. Soehngen is a pediatric hospitalist at Arthur Center Community Health, offering quality pediatric care in Mexico, Missouri.

Inspiring community health and wellness, Arthur Center Community Health strives to provide affordable healthcare for community members who have not had access to care. Its vision is to empower the people they serve to pursue their hopes and dreams in partnership with their family, community, and other human service organizations.

Academically, Dr. Soehngen graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

Furthering her training, she performed her residency in pediatrics at St. Louis University School of Medicine from 1992 until 1995.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Dr. Soehngen is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Before relocating to Mexico, Dr. Soehngen practiced at Mercy Children’s Hospital St. Louis and JFK Health Center.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. A pediatric hospitalist is a physician who specializes in caring for babies, children, and adolescents in a hospital setting.
