Academically, Dr. Soehngen graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

Furthering her training, she performed her residency in pediatrics at St. Louis University School of Medicine from 1992 until 1995.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Dr. Soehngen is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Before relocating to Mexico, Dr. Soehngen practiced at Mercy Children’s Hospital St. Louis and JFK Health Center.
