Dr. Dadzie is an endocrinologist, who is on staff at Endocrinology Associates of Princeton, LLC in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. “Whether performing an ultrasound guided biopsy of a suspicious thyroid nodule or using the latest technology to obtain continuous blood sugar readings to optimize glycemic control, it is our responsibility to stay on top of the latest diagnostic and treatment modalities and we take this responsibility seriously. We are committed to providing evidence-based care to our patients; that is, we base our decision-making on the most current medical literature” as stated on the practice’s website.

Aside from her interest in disorders of calcium homeostasis and pituitary diseases, Dr. Dadzie is skilled in the management of thyroid disease, diabetes, disorders of the adrenal glands, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

During her academic career, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Rutgers University in 2002. As part of an early matriculation program, she began her medical training at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in her final year of college. Deeply concerned about the global diabetes epidemic, she decided to pursue a Master of Public Health degree, which she earned in conjunction with her medical degree. She became the youngest member of the New Jersey Department of Health’s Diabetes Council in 2006 and assisted in revising the New Jersey Local Health Departments Diabetes-Related Services Guidelines.

Dr. Dadzie then returned to UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School to pursue a residency in internal medicine. She subsequently earned a coveted position in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism as a clinical fellow. Her research focused on postoperative normocalcemic hyperparathyroidism as it relates the metabolic syndrome and hypovitaminosis. Her work was well received at the American College of Physicians annual meeting in 2009 and the Endocrine Society’s annual meeting in 2012. She also published the first paper outlining a desensitization protocol for the treatment of octreotide sensitivity in acromegalic patients in the Pituitary Journal.

In addition to being a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society, Dr. Dadzie is board-certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary and thyroid disorders, among others.
