North Shore University Hospital is a part of Northwell Health, New York State’s largest healthcare provider and private employer. It is a teaching hospital for the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, offering residency programs, postgraduate training programs, and clinical fellowships.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Rosenberg graduated with his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 1974. He then went on to perform his internship and residency and Chief residency in internal medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals Jacobi Medical Center, and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Montefiore Medical Center - Moses Division Hospital.

Following his training, he attained board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Rosenberg is a member of the American College of Physicians.
