Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Gigi Kroll, who serves patients in Newport Beach, California.

Thousands of babies have made their way into the world under the care of Dr. Kroll, a trusted obstetrician-gynecologist with over two decades of experience in women’s health. She works alongside Dr. Zhanna Pinkus, providing obstetric, gynecologic, and wellness services for women from their childbearing years through menopause at Newport Center Women’s Health in Newport Beach, California. 

The doctor-duo provides compassionate, outstanding, personalized healthcare with advanced service. They support family planning decisions with contraception, sterilization, fertility treatment, preconception counseling, as well as labor and delivery services. They also help establish gynecologic health with preventive screenings, hormone therapy, health and fitness counseling, and minimally-invasive surgery. Not only does Dr. Kroll value family-centered care, but she also maintains a supportive and compassionate environment. She wants women to achieve a lifetime of wellness and balance in their lives. Whether a patient needs preventive gynecological care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, or labor and delivery planning, she can help. She even has extensive experience managing both low- and high-risk pregnancies.

Fostering a lifelong path of wellness and balance, the doctor is also skilled in benign, gynecologic minimally invasive procedures including operative hysteroscopy, operative laparoscopy, and endometrial ablations. She enjoys assisting women in navigating the many changes and challenges one experiences throughout her lifetime, including contraception, fertility, menstrual irregularities, and menopause.

After completing her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Kroll was accepted into medical school. She obtained her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 1995, after which she pursued her training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Due to the fact that she values maintaining her skills and learning about the everchanging advancements in medicine, she ultimately became board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Throughout her career caring for patients in Southern California, Dr. Kroll developed long-term working relationships with experts within the medical community, including an exclusive affiliation with Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. She has even served on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Foundation since 2013.

Among her most notable achievements, she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Medical Association, the Orange County Medical Association, and the California Medical Association, among others.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Kroll is the mother of three active children. Also, a physician, her husband, Doug, plays an integral role in juggling their energetic household where midnight deliveries make for just another busy night.
