An excellent orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot & ankle surgery, Dr. Miller is an attending physician at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

UNM Health provides the highest quality of care for more than 200,000 New Mexicans each year. It is New Mexico’s only Level I Trauma Center, caring for patients with the most complex conditions from across the state. It is home to the only Burn Center and Primary Stroke Center in New Mexico, and the only NIH-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Among his other roles, Dr. Miller can be found on staff at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center, UNM Orthopedic Clinic, UNM Carrie Tingley Clinic, and UNM Outpatient Surgery & Imaging Services (OSIS).

As for his academic appointment, he serves as a Professor within the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1985. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of New Mexico Hospital in 1990.

With nearly four decades of experience in his field, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
