Get to know Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr. Nirupama A. Natarajan, who serves the population of Roswell, Georgia. Dr. Nirupama A. Natarajan is an experienced psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 22 years. Her career in psychiatry began in 1996 when she graduated from the Coimbatore Medical College in Tamil Nadu, India. After moving to the United States, she completed a residency at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and then a fellowship in the Carillion Health System, prior to entering private practice. Dr. Natarajan is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and it is in this latter field that she has an international reputation for excellence. She treats a wide range of conditions including Attention Deficit Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, schizophrenia, phobic disorders, anxiety, family relationship problems and hyperactivity. She also provides psychiatric evaluation for children and adolescents. Alongside her practice, Dr. Natarajan also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Emory University School of Medicine. She is an active member of professional organizations including the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the Association of Women Psychiatrists, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She currently practices with Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals, and is affiliated to Emory University Hospital.
