Get to know Dentist, Ashley Starnes, DMD, who serves the population of Georgia.

Dr. Starnes earned her doctor of dental medicine degree in 2005 from the Medical College of Georgia and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. Dr. Starnes was born in Georgia and when she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, going to the beach and watching football.

In order to stay current in her field, Dr. Starnes maintains a professional membership with the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, Gwinnett Dental Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. The American Dental Association is an American professional association established in 1859 which has more than 161,000 members. They have been around for more than 160 years and exist to power the profession of dentistry and to assist our members in advancing the overall oral health of their patients.Their mission is to ensure all member dentists have what they need, when they need it and even before it is needed to succeed.

After earning her dentistry degree, Dr. Starnes began serving patients in Georgia at Suwanee Family Dentistry. At Suwanee Family Dentistry, their main priority is patient satisfaction. They always try to provide outstanding patient experience. They remain at the forefront of dental technology to be able to serve patients better each visit.  

A dentist is a doctor who diagnoses and treats oral health issues. The most basic services dentists provide are preventative and regular maintenance treatments such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, X-rays (to look for cavities), cavity fillings. He or she also provides advice on proper brushing, flossing, and rinsing for the prevention of plaque buildup.
