Vinay Chopra, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained sports medicine physician at Genesis Regenerative Sports and Aesthetic Medicine in Westfield, New Jersey. Dr. Chopra specializes in sports medicine, regenerative medicine, non-surgical orthopedics, concussion management, and aesthetic medicine.
He treats a range of conditions, including sprains, fractures, arthritis, joint disorders, and sports injuries, as well as providing nutritional assistance and sports performance enhancement to his patients. Dr. Chopra is also certified in advanced aesthetic medicine by the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine in procedures such as Botox®, Juvederm®, radiofrequency, and microdermabrasion.
Dr. Chopra has extensive experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound and various therapies such as TenJet® percutaneous tenotomy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and adipose and BMAC stem cell therapies.
Dr. Chopra earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He then earned his medical degree with honors from Ross University School of Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados, before completing his residency in family and community medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He completed fellowship training in sports medicine at Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey while serving as a team physician for the New York Jets football team.
Dr. Chopra’s experience with athletes also includes serving as team physician for multiple high schools and colleges, holding the medical director position for a minor league system of the Philadelphia Phillies, and serving as ringside physician certified in combat medicine for numerous mixed martial arts events including UFC, Cage Fury Fighting Championships, and Ring of Combat.
Dr. Chopra welcomes new and existing patients to Genesis Regenerative Sports and Aesthetic Medicine.
