He served as Department Vice Chair in 2006, and taught as clinical faculty for the Sutter Health Family Medicine Residency.
A Life Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, he is the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award though the Sutter Health Family Medicine Residency (2005-2006) and the Frank Lynch Memorial Essay Award through the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (2001).
