Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Holding a license to practice medicine in North Carolina, she can be found on staff at Moore Regional Hospital, Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke, and Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.

Intensive care medicine, also called critical care medicine, is a medical specialty that deals with seriously or critically ill patients who have, are at risk of, or are recovering from conditions that may be life-threatening.
