A trained professional in the field of oncology, Dr. Haq specializes in the care and treatment of patients with cancer. Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, he is affiliated with a number of hospitals, including HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, CHI St. Luke’s Health–Patients Medical Center, and CHI St. Luke’s Health – Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
After earning his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in India in 1973, Dr. Haq relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he completed his internship at Brooklyn Hospital Center, followed by his residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
In practice for nearly five decades, the doctor is board-certified internal medicine and medical oncology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
