Get to know Allergist and Immunologist Dr. Amishi Singal Murthy, who serves the population of Illinois.

Board certified Allergy and Asthma Specialist Dr. Amishi Singal Murthy currently practices with her co-owned private practice Illinois Allergy and Asthma Specialists. Additionally, she is affiliated with Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

She is the co-author of “Joey Panda and his Food Allergies Save the Day!”

Illinois Allergy and Asthma Specialists evaluate children and adults, and treat a wide range of allergic conditions, including asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, atopic dermatitis (eczema), chronic sinusitis, stinging insect allergy, drug allergy, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, hives, angioedema (swelling), and immune deficiencies.

Dr. Murthy grew up in the Midwest and has loved living in Chicago since 2002. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio with a double major in Biochemistry and French, she continued her studies at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Murthy then moved to Chicago, where she completed her Pediatric residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital. She was trained in Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She has been in private practice since 2007 and currently lives in Chicago with her husband and two children. She trained in Pediatrics and is board-certified in Allergy and Immunology.

Allergy and Immunology is the practice of treating, managing and diagnosing allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders such as primary immunodeficiency disorders. This also includes inherited immunodeficiency diseases and autoimmune diseases.
